Found this earlier for $20, nice original condition. The blade isn't great but that's fine as I don't intend on using it. However, it is my first knife I have bought and am seeking info on cleaning it up! I am a big fan of patina and want to leave as much of it as possible. But, as you can see from the pictures there is an incredible amount of grime on the blade and brass casing. How should I go about cleaning and preserving this piece? I don't have access to any power tools or anything like that. Thanks for any help!

A very light coat of olive oil. Put a little on an old T-shirt, and wipe the entire knife down with it. It will also clean off some of the grime!:icon_thumleft:
