I'm interested in where to find silver content on coins other than coinflation.com which does US and canadian. Is there a site that tells the silver content on other countries coins?I have a couple of 3 pence coins from 1918 and some 1/2 swiss francs from 30's to 40's.All the resaerch i've done tells me its .925 pure silver but not total weight.also maybe the years in which silver was used in coins.I"ve had no luck all the search engines, they bring you to auctions or try to sell you something. What ever happened to "information"?

Here is a good site for foreign coin id's and values with actual silver weight (if applicable) listed also.Just use the search box to find your country,go to that page scroll down to the type of coin you think you have and take a look at the photo of it to check if it's the right one. Then take note of the "km#" and click "$ click here for coin values".For example the actual silver weight for your 1/2 francs (pictured below) is .0671 ounces. Here is the link-http://worldcoingallery.com/.Hope this helps. For specific date coins you may want to get the 2007 Standard Catalog of World Coins in case you have a key date or something-http://www.amazon.com/dp/0896893650?tag=donsworcoigal-20&camp=14573&creative=327641&linkCode=as1&creativeASIN=0896893650&adid=0YTFMMA0TZSWN8Y73HNH&

I use The Standard Catalog of World Coins by Colin Bruce II...I like to have the book because I can take it with me while visiting different coin shops....
