Anybody know what type of bullet is This and what weapon did it go to? Found these two bullets metal detecting at a site of army air Field training and practice base. Is it related to that? Photo Taken with natural sunlight. How old are these bullets? When were they produced? Are The related to the place like military or civillian? Looks like .45 ACP Full Metal Jacket (FMJ). 1911 to present. No way to tell a difference in military vs. civilian from the bullet alone. Probably 300+/- different models of pistol (and a couple sub-machine guns and even revolvers) have been chambered in that cartridge/bullet over the last 100 years.
