Could be from be from one of those early pioneer animals called "homo sapiens". I have even seen such at the end of a pocket watch chain.

I think it would require a fairly extensive forensic analysis to
truly pin down a species. Too many unknowns.

If I had to take a WAG at it, I'd say from a smaller animal
like a possum, raccoon..cat maybe.

Might be a pre-molar for a large dog(?) #6 and #15 on the image below. From the image in night be a piece of broken shell(?) With teeth there is usually a pretty distinct change in texture at the gum line between the enamel and the root.
