In the last two weeks I have found three clad half dollars that have been disassembled. Then yesterday I found the heavier copper part with the Mexican logo stamped on one side and the original half dollar reverse on the other.
Hey Smitty, i've come across quite a few over the years as well, 2 noteable finds were a 2-headed bicentennial half dollar and a 2-headed 1996 half dollar, the only way i found them was because they made a thud sound rather than a clink sound, I usually open them and toss them into a jar for anything unusual, i just can't put a fake/foreign coin into circulation.
nice find,

I get about 1 every 4 boxes or so, have a couple rolls of them. Haven't seen an Obama half dollar lately, those always go down the storm drain when I do get them.
