Anyone hear of a silver wheatie??

I saw this in an article on coinflation. It's a new one to me!

Silver wheat penny? AUthentic silver?

I have had people insist they had silver cents, I told them there were zinc platted steel and silver ones were never made. One guy said he would prove it and he would get one from his house (I was at his yard sale) I asked him to bring out a magnet also. After a littlt wait he came out and apologised. He had "done the test" on his way out.

I have only seen 2 silver cents (yes they were wheat's) they were cents on a dime plainchant (not 1943) not sure on the value.

a little searching I found three for sale. I hope I find one. still looking for my first.
