For WWII nazi memorabilia? I have an American socialist party pin with the swazstica (sp) from Hitler's regime and had it listed on eBay with watchers and it got reported.. (seen solds of same pin before listing) now I'm looking for an outlet that will get me $100 out of it. Listed for $125 with 4 watchers......

Yes, you can sell them on gunbroker.com - it is a pretty active auction site. There is a category for militaria collectibles.

Did eBay end the auction? Seems some people believe history should be forgotten..

Yes they ended it with a not so polite message stating if it was re listed I'd lose selling privileges.

Dont be so short sighted. Did it ever occur to you that it has nothing to do with "history". Some people dont like the idea of people making a profit on the blood of their ancestors.

With respect Jerseyben, with your logic, wouldn't relics from the Indian wars have the same connotation to NA tribes? History is what it is, both good and bad.

then we should throw away all the history of it and forget the imagery? These things need to be kept and collected so the horrors are not forgotten and history does not repeat itself.

You have completely missed my point. Not interested in debating this with you.

Hopefully you can recognize the difference between people who collect relics because they appreciate history and wish to learn/teach from it versus people who collect this stuff as some sort of sick trophy or in support of the "bad" side of history.

No one said anything about erasing history. That was some idiotic conclusion that was falsely brought into this discussion.

There is a big difference between selling nazi memorabilia on ebay to unknown people with unknown motives vs having it in a holocaust remembrance or other museum, in a textbook, etc.

If you cant see the difference, then PLEASE do not bother to argue with me because you are wrong in my eyes and nothing you say will convince me otherwise.

Maybe we should agree to disagree.

I understand where you are coming from but where does it end? To some the christian cross is offensive. How many atrocities were committed in the name of christianity? I don't see the vatican going bankrupt anytime soon.

IMO money represents more evil then any swastika ever will. But money is how this world works ,so were told, and until you eliminate the greed it breeds.... profits > morals/ethics.( this is not a jab at the OP , just a generalization of the world )

Makes no sense...

History is history; everyone bleed in the war.

Short sighted? I'm very much aware that someone will always be upset or in disagreement off all things.

Just out of curiousity:are you Jew?
You can erase history, nor denied it.Nazi memorabilia is history no matter if is in a museum or a private home.

I am against racism and prejudice myself. And am Black, Negro, African American... I have purchased Rebel Confederate Flag belt buckles and will buy Black memorabilia featuring Blacks with big lips and eating watermelon. Is it offensive? They are to some people...but they are a part of history. I enjoy life in the US because some guys came and took this land from the Native folks. It is what it is. But I have no problem selling something (or maybe even donating it) that is part of history. I told someone once "I'll sell a KKK uniform if it's profitable!" Nothing personal, it's just business. BTW, I was in a Goodwill and saw a rebel flag plate on the shelf but didn't buy it (not enough profit). This other picker(older lady) saw it, grabbed it, and dropped it on the floor. She then looked at me and said "That mess shouldn't even be for sale!". She was angered by it. I was shocked hat she had no problem destroying the store's merchandise regardless of her feelings. I just walked away in shock and disappointment.

Ebay can ban or allow anything for sale they want, same as any of us could do if we owned the company. I find it refreshing they have rules at all, even though I've probably had a dozen things that got pulled.

Rules are fine, if they are applied equally.
