(This was a duplicate post - I removed the first one - Sorry. :0)
I have "a friend" who recently came across a couple of old Japanese swords. After some research, it is believed that these swords belonged to a person who happened to be living in Japan at around the time of WW2, and that he had buried these swords (along with an old rifle).
They have recently been found, and I believe the rifle is a Arisaka. This one is awesome, because it still has the emblem on it (MacArthur had this emblem removed from every rifle taken during WW2).
The first sword I believe is a Kyu Gunto.
The second one, however, I have no idea about. At first I thought it was a type 98 Shin Gunto, but it really doesn't "fit" in that category. I am stumped.
If anyone can help, I would appreciate it.
The pics are too large to post here, so if you can help, please email me at [email protected], and I'll forward them to you. Thank you.
