why do my posts get hi-jacked in to a different subject? LOL

When you post a search window with the terms Pickled penrose sausage treasure hunting you have to assume it's going to get hi-jacked!

But honestly I thought the problem was isolated. What did you scan your computer with? And when was that scanner last updated?

63.209.69.107 - Redirect virus, on your computer. I'm not sure what is best to remove it, will try to find out. What virus protection do you use?.

yup almost certain it is a virus. Not sure which program to suggest, malware bytes usually catches them. Might check out www.download.com it's ran by cnet which I have never had any problems with. Just look for a free virus scan. Not trial versions, those usually scan and show you that you have a virus and if you buy the software it will get rid of it. I would suggest AVG, or Avast virus protection though. Avast seems to be the better of the two recently.

The weird thing is that when I'm looking up porn it has been re-directing me to T-Net. Strange... :icon_scratch:

Only thing deeper than a virus or malware would be one that edited your registry. Not common but they are out there. My daughter picked one up a few months ago, but it went as far as making it so you could not open files that have a .exe. or .lnk more or less keeping you from running anything.
Had to find a clean copy of the registry online and copy over her corrupted one, and it fixed it. Most red-directing viruses are linked to a specific browser. Have you tried using a different browser, like Firefox, Google Chrome, IE 8, or 9?

Only other thing I can think of is a corrupted cache file? Maybe try to clear your history and you cache files so that it has to renew them all. Instead of taking the shortcut of loading from memory.

bluehunter1973, I think I'd be banned even before I signed up :laughing9:

You don't want to put Spartacus on a Sausage hunters forums, no matter how innocent it might be....still sounds like an alternative lifestyle club. I don't think Sparta can grasp politically correct he might not "appeal" to the people there.

You really have to admit that perhaps getting directed to a possible 'alternative lifestyle club' is too funny to pass by :laughing7:

Besides, everyone did stay on topic, including me for once and we did give you several alternatives to try

I even went as far to say just PM Jeff if you had any issues, but noooooooo, you had to put it here for us to see. All's fair once we see something :tongue3: :laughing7:

Good luck on cleaning up your pc and I would also be careful on any e-mails you send to friends until you get this issue resolved.. Otherwise you'll be be passing along your little friend to your contacts

I hate to break it to you but 'cookies cannot be programmed, cannot carry viruses, and cannot install malware on the host computer'

That's all I need to know :laughing9:

As for the other poster's, they saw exactly what I did, something else funny to talk about. :tongue3:

Your pc has a problem, either malware, or a virus.. It's that simple

Yes, but cookies cannot hijack your pc...

So what is your point about cookies taking you to different sites :dontknow:

Now I am more of a virus than those cookies.. I attach myself to a thread and it becomes mine, ask anyone :laughing9:

I agree. Spartacus can be viral....

As far as cookies are concerned, they are just little bits of information, some site you go to will have advertisements on their page of sites you recently went to, or maybe even an ad for something you recently searched for online.

Being a small file with information embedded in it, they can be corrupted by a virus, and therefore triggering ads for porn on non related sites. Even directing it to load one of those ads, that the flash based ad contains spyware which is loaded on your system and then redirect your browser.
This isn't the case in what Chukers is seeing though.

In my opinion, he either has a corrupted cache which the redirection link is messed up, or there is a virus infecting his browser, the fact that it is only happening on this site confuses me, and makes me think it is a corrupted file in his cache. Which is just the basic website saved into the computers temporary files folder just to make loading a page you frequent quicker.
