we can't really guess without some background. doesn't really have much of a "Mayan" look to it....

Not old IMHO. The lines throughout are too sharp and defined for an Mayan artifact, and the fact that it's hollow really makes me think tourist trinket. No chips or damage Sorry. It just looks new to me. but who am I to say. Sell it for 5000.00 and see if anyone bites. LOL

Definitely need more background info such as: Did your friend find it and about where? I did some research on it best I could today and from what I could tell from the facial features it looks more like Mexican but so far I haven't been able to find that particular type item. Will look some more but need something more to search on.

All I know is that she said she thinks it was found off the coast of Poroireco by drivers and than acquired by a rich private collect who had a large collect of simulator objects, the private collector died and the collection broken up where the now owners late husband acquired it. That's really all I know. She did say two local university archies told her it was authentic but to me my guts telling me it almost too prefect. I have two object that came with the this one I guess I can post if you guys think it will help, not sure if they were found by drivers too or just part of the drug dealers private collection. Please I really need some help on this! The lady is now really hurting for money. oh she said she been sitting on them for 20 years btw.

I think its from South America.
It looks like stuff I've seen from Peru, Bolivia, and the Argentina highlands.

It doesn't look Mayan to me.
Now some of the Aztec and Toltec figurines have similar traits, but I don't think its Mayan.
I'm not an expert at all, but I've viewed a lot of stuff from south of the border.
Let us know if you get a definitive answer on that though.
Thanks for showing. Lone Star

It takes a while is what I was told. To me a while is a week or two but I guess to them it is longer. I am still waiting on results on my blade I found and it is going on 4 weeks now since I sent the pics which were very clear. I guess they are busy.

Scavenger, you have posted 3 different of these suspected artifacts, did they all come from same person? Why didn't you post all 3 in same thread?
