Atlantic City's Beach gives up some old silver.....some pics
Hunted AC this weekend with my buddy Tom . Got into some silver coins, had to dig a ton of fishing sinkers to get at them. Two of the coins were caked with a hard layer of black crud. when they came out of the sand I thought they were just ordinary coins, had to put them through electrolysis when I got home. they ended up being a 1905 Barber quarter and a 1903 Barber dime. I was very surprised and happy to see that. . After the second electrocution on both , the hard layer just popped off, I tried to get the layer in the pics, you can see the coin in reverse. I thought that was neat.
Also found a 1937 Mercury dime and a Claddagh ring.
Thanks for looking,
jim
