Not much rain here either.

Tried cutting a few plugs the other day in a ball field...high humidity, hot......

Came back home to the a/c and waiting for it to cool and rain...or hit some back woodsy, shady..who cares if the grass dies area and detect.

Yeah, it's absolutely unreal. It's like the African Savannah here in NE Wisconsin. Hot, dry. The ground is hard and completely and utterly PARCHED. It has threatened rain BIG TIME about 6 times and has not produced since early July. It is beautiful but MISERABLE. It feels exactly like Vegas in April. I said a month ago lets all do a rain dance for the midwest. I'd gladly take some of what Gustav's giving New Orleans again. I found what I think might be virgin hunting ground and signals are too unreliable without some moisture in the ground.

Same here in SouthEastern Wisconsin. Ground is hard as a rock. June we had a monsoon, and Aug we did not even get 1 inch of rain for the whole month, Got to yell at my son he works for the National Weather Service in Lincoln, Illinois. They are very dry down in the corn & soy bean belt also.. Maybe we will get another 99 inches of snow this winter to make up for no rain, LOL Shane
