Automax V4 pinpointer modifications?

Hi everyone,

Just wanting to know if anyone has done any modification to the automax pinpointer? We all know that it is 18" long, I was thinking that I a good mod would be to take the thing apart, somehow manage to get the detecting part (the tip) on a long cord so that you could just use it in your hand?

Are there any other mods which could be useful?

I broke mine, Not bad,but very cheap made...I have 2 vibra probs now!!

My second one since breaking the first has a ribbon of JB Weld where the probe goes into the control box. It fits in my electrical workers tool belt in a side pocket. Monty
