Hello all! I got out to one of my better spots yesterday, a home place built in 1883. I hunted the front yard mainly & its still giving (4th hunt here). I recovered 3 IHs that are in beautiful shape & 2 V nickels. I used no water on the coins, only a toothpick. I also recovered some neat relics. The cuff link turned out nice but unfortunately the shank broke, it was very delicate. I was told the pocket knife is mid to late 1800s, a cool find. I also found a few items I can't positively ID. I'm not sure on the large iron object, some sort of buggy tool? I'm also not sure about the round lead item with 33 stamped on it. A buddy said he was told that they were associated with telephone poles. I also found a couple if brass items I'm not sure about. One looks like a knob just not sure if that's really what it is. As always any help is appreciated! I'll also post in What is it. It was a beautiful day to be out & do some digging! Thanks for looking & HH!

Wow Josh. As hard as we hunted that front yard last month I am amazed anything else was left. Apparently there was a lot! I think the iron tool is for horseshoes but not sure. I really love the key too.

mangum, your thread title says it all.
[h=2]Awesome coin & relic hunt![/h]Great looking IH's and then a more mechanical looking round thing with all the punched holes. The knob is it brass, does it have internal threads? Reeds, buttons, cuff link(looks silver), the pocket knife - what an assortment of items, I agree with the thread title..............63bkpkr

Thanks! The knob is brass & is threaded on the end. Also- the cuff link didn't look that good until I hit it with some aluminum jelly, definitely plated.
