AWESOME DAY!! Police button, Eagle button, V-Nickel, IH, Rosie, Tokens & MORE!
I had a great 2 hour hunt after work today at the new plantation spot I just started to MD.
I'm still hunting with a new Tesoro Silver Umax with stock coil for now. I finished up the front yard and scored an IH and a flat button, then worked part of the side yard. This section was HOT!!! I dug the coolest old button I've dug. By far my favorite and in fantastic shape. Almost all of the gold gilt is still there! I hit a large assortment today, and I was happy as a clam today.
I won't bore you with details. Here's my finds for today:
*"POLICE" button (22mm) with gold gilt - Back mark is "A. Jacobs & sons - Baltimore MD." (circa 1915)
My best button ever!
*Eagle button (22mm) - Back mark "City Button Works - New York" (circa early 1900's?)
*18mm flat button - Back mark "Best Colour"
*1901 "V" nickel in very worn shape, but it is my first "V" nickel ever.
*1904 IH
*1946 Rosie dime - my first in about 6-8 months!!! (I mostly find Mercs)
*1940 & 1954 nickels
*Wheats- 1919S , 28 , 45 , 52D (x2) , 57D.
*"City Bus Lines" bus token.
Any idea on the age of this token, and/or what city?
*Egyptian looking token - about the size of a dollar, but a bit thinner.
Any info on this piece?
*Decorative copper lamp piece (?) - it is threaded all the way through.
*A Ford Model A ignition piece.
*A large spike looking thing.
Any ideas what this is?
*Asst'd relics.
Ya-hooooo!!! What a fun dig.
Thanks for looking,
MM
