Finished my family visit up between Nashville and Chattanooga. Got to do some MDing without much success.

I got one morning to CRH in two small towns with my wife and aunt in law waiting in the car at each stop. They got to go to Big Lots afterwards, so it worked out for everyone.

Total take was about $900. At the last bank I got these rolls, and I was really hoping that those weren't just bank account numbers written on them. ;) They weren't ;D.

When I said I would take all $150 dollars of halves, the tellers proclaimed me their favorite customer. They were so happy to get rid of them, I thought they were going to come out and hung me. Seriously. When I looked at the rolls I did a :o.

Just for the record, I got a total of 8 rolls of BU 1996's and 1991's from other banks so that might change your total take guess.

So, lets have a contest. Try to guess, without going over, how many keepers did I get at this last bank? How many for the whole trip? I'll add the amounts you are off for each, and then declare the closest person the winner.

Winner will be announced August 15th.

No prize, unless you want a 1989 Congress commemorative with massive amounts of toning. This was going to be the prize for KickStart's box from LJ, but that never happened. I'll PM the winner to see if they want their "Prize".

Good Luck.

155 last bank, 245 for the whole trip.
You did want us to include the last bank as part of the whole trip, right?

Hope I didn't mess you up to much. They did say the rolls had been in the bank "for a long time", so I don't feel to bad. I was actually worried more about running into Patrick. ;) Do you normally go to the Manchester area?

I haven't yet! And probly won't bother now. Not far at all. But I've had such poor luck with road trips around here that I don't do it often. Now I work 8-5 so bank hunting is about out of the question. I still pick up boxes on my lunch hour.

I'm going to go with 0...Sorry! ;D I've found too many rolls with dates like that written on them only to find out that someone used them to re-roll clad...

For any that only guess the last bank, I'm going to assume a that you think I found zero at the other banks. That means your last bank will also be your final trip guess.

Hope its fun guessing. :)

Re: Back from TN. Great results. WINNER IS >>>

Thanks everyone for playing. It's been fun to watch.

Everyone except Killerwine was over my actual amounts. Glad you all think I do so well ;D .

Boobydoo is closest to the actual amounts. I'm declaring him the winner. He was within 6.5 of the last bank and was only 1.5 low for my total amount.

So, total finds from the pictured rolls were:

1964 - 22
1965 - 4
1966 - 10
1967 - 41
1968 - 36
1969 - 18 Total = 131

I also found at other banks:

1967 - 5
1968 - 3 Total Haul = 139

Not counted were 1 2002 S, 1 2005 D, and one slighly off center strike 1983.

Pictured below is the prize, should our winner want it ;) .

I did reroll my clad into those wrappers. You all should beware! :-*

However, I've watched my dump bank handle my halves, and I know that they crack the rolls and dump them into $1000 bags. So I guess everyone is safe. ;D
