Went back to the inner city park for a short this morning. It is cold and windy so I thought id be alone but the first thing I notice is a gut laying face down under a tree right where Im headed.I get up close and hunker down for a closer look.(See if hes breathing),,,,Yep. So I go right up and nudge the guy and ask if hes alright,,,,Yep.Hes soakin wet and cold.I give him a few bucks and tell him he should go get something hot to eat, so off he goes.He didnt appear to be a drinker so I think he was going to do just that.Anyway, in about two hours I dug 45 pennys(ten of which were wheats),three quarters ,nine dimes (including a 64),two nickles,a lot of trash, and one button. The button is a Scovill with a Great Seal front. The back has a solid brazed shank with Japanning. The lettering is concaved.I realize this is post 1900.Was wondering if it is military and maybe WWI era...Thanks for any input...good digs to ya....Joe
