Haven't been out much of late. I did manage to get out to a few of my spots over the past week and a half. This has been a tough detecting season so far ( cold, rain, snow, and mud ) for eastern NC. I did manage my first silver for the year (18?? Barber dime), my first dandy button of the year which matches another one that I found at the same site exactly, my first IH for the year but it's in rough condition with no date, and my first military items for the year (a naval button and a large US button/disc?. I also found a Slaymaker lock, some nice little buckles, some keys, and a few other odds and ends. I did have a few eyeball finds as well ( 4 buttons and 2 marbles ). Hopefully the weather will improve and I can get out to a few more fields before planting season.

Jim, You covered a broad year time span . There are some interesting buttons that could be over 200. Were you in a number of locations with these finds ??? Nice recoveries and glad you can get out in NC

There are some good buttons here, JimBeHuntin' :icon_thumright:. Clean them with care.
Marbles are adding colour to any collection.

You've sure got that right ... seems every old coin I find has a great reverse and a worn or damaged obverse?

Hey CMD ... these finds came from 3 different sites ranging from an early plantation house, a farm stead, and an old country store. None of the buildings exist now and all the sites are now in farm fields.
