Got out last evening and have trying to learn my Sovereign GT. Went to a park 3 block from my home that I hit when short for time. I have hunted here countless times along with many many other detectorists. Within 10 min got what I thought was a good sound and was able to barely get a 180 out of the meter. Dug this half at six inches, not very deep but was masked with trash and barely noticeable. I know see why so many GT hunters say the GT gets what others have left behind. Also was able to squeeze out a 1916 Lincon.

Every MD'er needs a current Red Book.(If you want to know the retail prices of coin finds). For wholesale prices get the Blue Book. If members want to know the value of any coins I'll try to help.

Congraulations, Thats whats great about this hobby, you dig hole after hole and them Pow!, your hard work (Not really work) is rewarded with a great find. I've never dug a Barber half but I did find a Seated Half and it was a total unexpected thrill.
Great Find and enjoy your new detector, I still be swinging my old CZ-5.
HH, Tico
