After my Bro & Sis had left, we decided to have a short hunt (2hrs 45mins) with my Italian Uncle to see if he could get any of his ancestors coins :laughing7: Sadly I got the only scrappy of the day but he did manage one of the better finds; A nice large counterstamped 1811 Halfpenny token 8) He also got an 18th C sword belt slider. Always enjoyable taking out a newbie, you never know what will pop up.
I had a foldered hammered (Ed I, I think) - pretty sure its the 'old custom' fold.
Also had the bottom of a Saxon Brooch :o The 2nd from this field.
2 Lead Tokens
US Button
2 early 19th C Militia Buttons, same Militia but different makers :headbang:

So another 'good enough' short hunt.

Interesting finds today Cru! :icon_thumright:

Love the look of the script on this button! :o I like this thimble as well!
I'd love to find an old thimble one day . . . I'd probably get it gold plated too! :laughing7:

How old might these two pieces be? :icon_scratch:

Thanks mate,
Dave
