I haven't not been able to go out prior to leaving for my wedding and honeymoon, but while on my cruise to Alaska we are going on a gold prospecting excursion in Juneau. I can not wait to go get some Alaska placer gold!!!! I wish I haven't been so busy to go out before leaving but taking care of business so I can get Alaska gold is important!! Will post pics of my Alaska adventure !!!!

Take care of the wedding and starting your new life together first and good luck with all of it...including the Alaska prospecting!

Ok so I just finished up y little gold prospecting adventure and the "pay dirt " they gave us wasn't to bad, but the old school metal gold pan with no riffles was my biggest problem I would have paid 20$ for the little cheap 3 black gold pans! It was cool to get a little bite of Alaska placer gold another one oft bucket list things to do checked off my list, the first was catch some Alaskan salmon and halibut and did that yesterday! My new wife and father in law had a great fishing trip

And this is the gold from the pay dirt

Yeah it would have been nice to have my bazooka lol but the creek we went to is a sluice free creek! Finding some big Alaska gold would have been cool but just getting a little Alaskan gold was cool and my father in law gave me his gold!

Those hooks in your pan is a great reminder of why most of us wear gloves when moving rocks and stuff around. Glad they ended up in the pan and not stuck in the hand

Barry&Jason 530 journal

So I haven't been on here for a long time, well since my last posts in my journal, I have been out a couple of times learned a lot last year in my first year of prospecting. I have met a lot of new really cool people. This picture is from one of my last trips with my amazing bazooka ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1435726814.010885.jpg
This was from about 18 bucket with my buddy Jeff.
ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1435726890.100838.jpg this was from a little outing that I went on with some of my buddies from the "north valley prospectors"
And this gold is from eureka gold and sands pay dirt bags, ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1435727087.817450.jpg

I am not sure where you are from in the 530 but I am from the butte county area, if you are close to paradise I am part if a gold prospecting club (north valley prospectors) that meets on the first Monday of every month, the meetings are at the paradise dive center on skyway in paradise just below Pearson road. The meetings are at 7 pm we talk about our adventures and current issues and what not, last month we had Shannon Poe from American mining rights association as a guest speaker and it was feet informative. This month in our raffle we are raffling off a membership to amra

I'm in Butte County as well and very near there, also from Paradise originally. I won't be able to make it Monday we've got a house full of company, but I will mark it down for next month's meeting. I've been meaning to go by the dive center there and check out wetsuits, but I can't try them on at this time so I've been holding off until I'm healed up. Thanks for the info.
