Cw I took quite a few photos of it where it sat . That is one of the photos . I did look around quite abit for another symbol or sign to no avail. I did take it home.

I would be inclined to call that a Duck.
A turtles Back is normally a fair bit higher than the top of its Head.
Looks like the trail Ducked out on you as well

Strange similarities.

The first is from post #1177, and the bottom is from #1267.




The bottom one appears more developed, and has an eye open.

Something that stands out big time in your picture is this horse head.
It jumped of as I scrolled by earlier, thought I would point it out.

#1 and#2 are small horse heads #3 looks like it could be a bear. Between the two owls on the other pic
lower in the gully looks like a owls head.
