Picked up my ol charger today. I purchased it new around 1996/97, I noticed it has 3 modes, Manual/Auto Deep Cycle/Auto Regular. I know we need a manual charger to do electrolysis, so Im guessing my charger should do the trick in Manual?
Thanks for any input.

Your guess is correct. Frank...

Call Radio Shack but,
if you should need a insurance adjuster, I wouldn't mention this. Lol

Cute AC.
Go ahead. I've used sodium chloride. Won't bother your cathode. But watch the anode. The chlorine will oxidize, which forms a chlorine gas(CL2). Which is poisonous as well as combustible.
And I'm sure you know those little bubbles from electrolysis, are hydrogen being released.
So set up next to the water heater or fireplace and go for it!
