Today was by FAR the best day we have had our! My buddy and I hit 6 different cellars, 1 of which had to be untouched. We hiked around 15 miles total up into the mountains to reach the more isolated ones. Every site had something, but the two best were the MOUNTAIN and an old farm site we’ve hit before. We got the 2 LC and both crotal bells on the mountain and the 2R came at the “hunted out” farm. One crotal Bell has the number “2” on it and “S & N” on the bottom. It was our first trip out for the year, and I couldn’t think of a better way to start! Enjoy the pics and HH.

Items:

1798 2R
1836 LC
1839 LC
1857 Flying Eagle
Army&Navy CW token 1864(ish)
1867 Indian (semi-key)
2 crotal bells (1 HUGE)
Couple great colonial Flats
Usual spoons and such.... I piece is silver

Awesome hunt. I absolutely love the CW token, the patina on it is beautiful! Congratulations on 15 miles of the best kind of hiking i hear that there is, cellar hole hiking.

Any marks on the silver spoon part ?

Nope... it broke off right before the MM, I didn’t see any other stamps. It was deep, and I scrubbed it pretty hard, not plated. Always wanted a silver spoon.. guess I will have to deal with a 1/2!

Well done man. One thing I’ve learned about this hobby is the more effort you’re willing to put in the bigger the payoff. I’ve paddled, climbed, hiked and trekked miles thru the forest. Those are really nice results

Thanks! I always remember your story about those cabin sites you hiked out to, and that insane copper total.
