Not personal experience, but my uncle told me of hunting muddy areas in winter - cold and dry, no snow - somehow a freezing difference between the mud and the stone of the arrowhead would show as ice crystals outlining the shallow point. For what's it worth he did have some nice frames.

You're better off hunting where they lived -- on a rise near a stream -- if it's ploughed.

Probably going to have to do some more research.

Time....just put your time in being patient and training yourself to look for edges and things that don’t belong. But overall just put your time in.
