Best way to hunt points...

I have a spot near where I grew up. It's a marsh/tidal pool spot that was a known hunting spot for natives. What is the best way to work this place? I never hunted points before. Pretty muddy/rocky shore, not much in the way of sand.

You're better off hunting where they lived -- on a rise near a stream -- if it's ploughed.

Not personal experience, but my uncle told me of hunting muddy areas in winter - cold and dry, no snow - somehow a freezing difference between the mud and the stone of the arrowhead would show as ice crystals outlining the shallow point. For what's it worth he did have some nice frames.

Time....just put your time in being patient and training yourself to look for edges and things that don’t belong. But overall just put your time in.
