Better picture of short cross coin

This is a better picture of the short cross coin, that I posted earlier this week. It shows more clearly the strange obverse legend. Don't think it's miss-struck, think the die may have been badly re-worked.

On this old coin, the face & what appears to be his beard & hair all remind me of the sorrowful lion in the movie "Wizard of Oz" -- just my late-night imagination. Andi
