We had a club hunt today and I came away with big gold. Marked 14K Italy. Probably the heaviest piece I ever found at 29 grams. Got a touch of silver too with a warn SLQ. I saw several other large cents come up, one I had to take a picture of. It was Andy's first large cent and a nice one at that. Congrats Andy! I also pulled a couple of flat buttons and small buckle. Maybe I'll add the photos at some point. They're still in my pouch in the trunk. Also hit a nearby "hunted out" spot yesterday and came up with a piece of silver in the form of a war nickel as well as a V nickel. I've pulled so much out of this small school yard since it's been "hunted out". 8-)

Don't want to alarm you, but you ought to do a gold test on the bracelet since there is a lot of 14k Italy that is fake. Worth checking, but really nice looking.

Another great effort Don. I've never found any gold and likely never will. Nice job at that "hunted out" site

Near a full OZ of 14K is a really nice find. My "few" golds, about one per year, have been at most 3 grams.

Congrats...NICE HOLE !

I kind of feel the same way most times. I'm not much of a beach hunter and really like finding old coins/relics. As a result, I don't expect to find much gold. I was surprised as anyone that it came up.
