I got to get out for a couple of hours this morning and decided to hit a cellar hole that I have hit numerous times. I have pulled quite a few coppers and buttons from this site but never any silver until today. Unfortunately the ground is not kind to coppers or buttons, but they are still fun to find. The copper is a draped bust but I can not get a date off it. I almost fell over when I pulled a silver bracelet out of a plug. I have no idea how old it is but it looks old. Or it maybe just a coincidental recent drop?? Pretty much everything from this site though has been 1700’s to mid 1800’s. I am trying to read makers mark but it is very small, what I think I can get is JA.WL
Thanks for any feed back

That would be SWEET to see in the plug!!!! CONGRATZ....

It would be great if you could get some clear close ups of the makers marks , the style of the font can tell a lot about period of manufacture .Something about the incised lines on the bracelet , has me thinking old - as in fur trade period - but that is just a hunch ..

That silver bracelet is out of this world! I hope someone out there in T- Net land can help you ID the maker's marks. Big Congrats!

The silver bracelet is very interesting. I hope you can provide some macro photos of the maker's mark to hopefully obtain some identification of its age and history. Likely quite old and a noteworthy find.

Trying to get a pic of makers mark, this is best I can get.

Not the best and I am horrible at pics

But that's where you should be looking for it. Post another photo of just the coin in you would. I'm thinking others or I might make out a date for it.

Congrats on those great finds!
