My second hobby is playing bluegrass banjo, wifey just bought me a new Morgan Monroe Appalachian, sounds really sweet.

Here's a small sample of some of my favs I play pretty good:

- Wildwood Flower
- Old Time Religion
- John Henry
- Red River Valley
- Dueling Banjos
- Will the Circle Be Unbroken
- Blackberry Blossom
- Pickin' in the Pines
- Tom Dooley
- Banjo in the Hollow
- Down the Road

I play more, but those are my favorites.

If anyone is interested in TAB exchange or just talking bluegrass, gimme a shout!

I love banjo music. It is as fun to watch a banjo player as it is to listen. I go to a bluegrass festival every year in the mountains of Pennsylvania. Bands come from all over including one from Ireland. It's a great time and lasts for four days.

Keep on a pickin.

Hey Tim, I love banjo! I bought a fiddle and took lessons for a while but the teacher moved too fast for me. I think I'm getting a 5 string banjo for my birthday in January and I am going to start taking lessons from a man who doesn't teach notes, he teaches by ear.
Where did you learn to play? Can you tell me some good titles on youtube, I would really like to hear some good bluegrass but I don't know very many artists. One of my favorite songs that might be bluegrass is called "Lady Margaret".
