hi all.

have searched both here and online for a simple 'how to get started + equipment needed + etc' book on water-based treasure hunting... but really haven't found much.

there must be something, right? a Bible of sorts? something to say 'buy this detector' and 'start out diving in 8 ft of water' - a 101 of sorts.

many thanks!

Gary Drayton has published many good books on very specific techniques that have led to success. I don't know of anything else similar to those books.
I agree searching TN and other forums is great, but a book like Gary's gives a methodical and detailed approach.

"Books" instead of "a book." You're really looking at a wide range of subjects that need investigation/exploring.

There are no books.

The beaches are closed.

No metal detecting allowed on the beach or in the water.

All the gold is gone.

All the coins are gone.

Nothing left but pull-tabs.

I suggest starting anew in Oklahoma.
