The celt is HUGE, geen and highly polished with a ittle damage on the small end. The 4 big blades I think were part of a cache find. The effigies are awesome as is the hook and they all have nice patinas on them. One of the double eagle heads has a wing tip glued back on. I can get individual pics if you want to see certain ones up close. Any IDs on them. Most of them have HC or SC on them for shelby and hardin county TN. Is the big stem one a Thebes point? What is value do you think and did I do well at $275?

Some nice looking pieces in that group. Nice acquisition for $275, though the effigy pieces are probably fakes since 99.999999999999999999999% are. Especially the Eagle and Fish Hook types.

The Celt is really the superstar there, looks like a classic southern pole celt. Great piece.

The eagles and fish hook are probably old rechips of broken pieces. The broken piece in the center would have been a killer lost lake, probably worth restoring to many collectors. The best piece of flint in my opinion is the horse creek pickwick-like point. It's the multicolored piece along the top in one of the pictures.

The big broke Kirk is made from a chert called Black Buffalo River, usually unheated it is a high quality chert from Wayne and Lawrence county TN. Some examples fade into banded Dover. I agree the eagles and hook are reproductions.

Even if all of your pieces were reproductions you got a good deal. High end repos can bring big money. You most likely have some nice authentic pieces mixed with certain reproductions. Good score!

That is a big old celt! I like the flint celt as well. Overall nice acquisitions. The fish hook needs a hole in it?
