I just bought a garret metal detector and am taking a road trip from la to San Francisco. Any info on some good spots to find something interesting?

As for SF: there's scores of turfed parks. The easy silver has been mined regularly. But if you know how to go deep, and cherry pick around the low conductor trash, there's still silver coming from some of the parks there.
