I found this item near an old plantation home that is also a cultivated field., so I don’t know if it’s a homesite item or farm related. To me it looks like something that would have gone on the end of a wooden pole, as it appears to have a nail through it (like you would see on a rake or something). My first guess was for a walking cane, but it’s a little on the heavy side. Any opinions appreciated. Probably a buggy shaft tip. on the shafts that run up along side the horse.
