Broken Celt / Ax **updated

Added a couple of pictures to what I am assuming is the broke end. I may very well be wrong, open to learning why it may be that the end was not finished.

I don't think it is broken either, just a short, socketed celt. It may have been longer at one time and got ground down by sharpening.

That’s a sharp observation.
I believe I see rounded edges on the rear-end. I’ve not found one of these (broken or otherwise), but it is reasonable to believe it’s complete and possibly repaired/touched up after a break.
On a side note: I can only imagine the incredible force it would take to break one of these. Puzzling.
