Hello Forum,

Can anyone assist me with these three buckles? I found them in a heavily wooded area, and they were all in the same hole. Are they civilian or military? Thanks for looking!

Those are buckles. I believe they're metal. They were used in conjunction with leather, to hold things tight.

Most likely horse harness buckles from the early 20th C. (maybe a little older)

The buckles have a nice little pattern thing going for them. Probably late 1800’s congrats, but please refrain from showing a 1965 quarter in the future. They are quite a downer...

Nice to find three together like that. Congrats and good luck on the identification.
