Buckle HELP!

Any info on this buckle would be great! I have found a site that gives some info on it, but its info on a reproduction of the original buckle... Fakes, California two part buckle, Federal plate 338 Ive been told that its rear and could be worth a lot of money, but I only have one half of it... Any ideas of how much it would be worth?

I'd def. bring that to someone who is a expert in California 19th century artifacts.

Its what us collectors refer to as the Cast Miner.It is a cast brass tongue from a Tongue and wreath Buckle.It dates to the 1850's and is a very nice example.
