I was wondering if somebody could help me date this button. I have tried to search for it. But where it has no info on it. Well it shrinks down the area to look in. I am trying to roughly find the age to help me date the age of the place i have been searching. To me it looks to be maybe Victorian but i could be wrong.Thank you for your help and support.

That is an interesting button for sure. If I had to guess, I would say it dates from the early 1800's. What context did you find it in (age of the site you were digging), that might help with telling how old it is.

Your right it's a button that breaks the 1 piece rule, ie. its late Victorian, not pre-1840s.
