This field we have done before & its where I got my best 1 day button record (see above).
The objective of the day was simple; avoid making a snowman or snowball fighting & get 1 button we don't already have.
Dad completed the challenge by getting a WWII Civil Defence (CD) Corp Button.
It snowed the whole time & by the end we were detecting about 4 inches of snow, we did however get as many buttons in 2.5 hours as we did over our last 6 outings.

Without clicking on the thread I recollect you getting about 144 buttons in a day.

Those buttons of which there are several in the one pic. remind me of the rutherford tokens of Newfoundland.

4 inches of snow, I'd call that dedication. At least you got your goal of a new type.

158 in 4 hours:thumbsup:

Apart from one of my fingers nearly freezing off at the start, it was not all that cold, just a few below freezing & the snow was light/puffy on the ground.

I'm sure it wasn't much fun hunting in those conditions, but at least you could tell where you'd been. Nice job!
