Found this button in a 1870's privy.? It appears to be hard rubber and is 1 1/8 inch in dia.? Does it have any value?

Well, I thought this was a different site all together, but I guess not, looks like just a different page for the site that Jeff posted. http://www.vintagebuttons.net/rubber2.html
anyway, I found a different type of good year button, didn't know it was rubber until about a week later.
Never did go back to see what set off the detector, because the button doesn't read anything, there had to be something else in the hole...

The button you have there is still in pretty good condition. The guy at that site told me if they are still black, the way your is,,, they still have some value...Mine is pretty much worthless to anyone but me, but it's my oldest find yet...
