Looks like an early artillery button, 1820's era. I know I've seen one before...trying to find it now.

Thanks Buckleboy. Someone on the todays finds forum....in my original post ID'ed it as a war of 1812 artillery button. It's an interesting find at the site I'm searching. Only war related item so far. I appreciate the help BB. Do you agree with that ID (War of 1812?)
