buttons and lead thingy

went back to cellar hole were i found 1797 large cent and 1788 mass.copper today i found old broken button nicebig silver colored button tiny cuff button and odd lead thing faint pattern on it not even sure of meterial soft lead like only a piece of something this is an old site were lots of potash was made very thick ash deposits all around site lots of small squar nails and noisy dirt all around hand full of dirt can set my garrett pinpointer off the cut or broken button appears to be copper
