California anything?

Not sure if this is anything so I need your help. Found in California. It looks like a scraper but not familiar with the stone there. The stone is shiny and can't tell if there are percussion scars or this is how the stone normally looks. Found near the pacific coast.

California is about 770 miles in length and probably longer along the Pacific Ocean...can you be more specific where the California leverite rock was found?
