My knowledge of anchors is slim to nil but a haphazard guess would say that anchor is likely to be pre-1800's. Otherwise....waiting like you for an expert to chime in....

rough guess based on design 1700 to 1800 time frame -- the long straight shank design -- short flukes -- and lack of a iron cross bar (stop)---point to a older design

Found one similar in the Cayman's about twenty years ago that was dated mid 1700's.

I would date it at 6 months until it is a pile of iron dust.... CONSERVE!!!!

agreed --that anchor needs preserving -- and where it came from theres a old shipwreck close by most likely

I could try to date it, but my wife might get a bit jealous... oh, that's not what you meant?

Small Kedging Anchor... best guess due to attributes of this anchor would be late 1700's or early 1800's also.
