Can I get a couple people to glance at this button I just saved?

Just pulled this nice button at about 8" with my F75. Killer design...

Anyone recognize the pattern? Back is toasted. I can barely see where the maker's name would have been, though completely illegible.

I love buttons like this.. I want to throw a late 19th, early 20th century on it. Found it on land in Maryland that used to be tobacco fields beginning mid to late 1800's..

I'd like to add that it is thinner than the flat button I am used to finding.. A little thinner than a zincoln cent.

Alpha shank, simple design, rather large, umm, early 19th C
Here's a chart that says the type was made 1785-1800

Awesome chart. Hard to tell if mine has a foot or not under the dirt and moderate corrosion. I'll stick with 1785-1820 and be a happy camper. Really pleased with all replies. GL guys.

I would agree with Cru. Since this button apparently had a backmark of some kind it shouldn't be any earlier than about 1790. But if I had to hazard a guess I'd say 1800-1810, and maybe as late as 1820.
