Digging near a cellar hole today and found some shards of a soda bottle. The only embossing on my pieces are "Cantrell" and "Branded See Th". From that, I determined it was a Cantrell & Cochrane bottle with the slogan "See that each cork is branded". It may have been a torpedo bottle, but the lettering is vertical and not horizontal. In other words, if you stood it up, you could read the embossing straight across the bottle.

My question is how old is this bottle? I did find half of an 1860's powder flask at this spot yesterday. Could the bottle be that old? Any guesses would be appreciated.
