Carthage/Lena Gold

Got a story from my wife's uncle over the weekend indicating a lost gold cache in the Carthage/Lena, MS area. Anybody heard anything about that?

I just want to see if anybody around here has heard any stories from that area to see if I can get some story corroboration before I pollute the waters so to speak.
