Cellar Hole find

[DPBOB]

Went out to an old cellar hole (ca. 1850-1930 )

I found my 2nd 1903 dog tax tag from this homestead.

A couple months age I found a 1900 Barber dime that is eaten away real bad from this homestead. ( almost looks counterfeit )

Here's a picture of the newest tag.

The first tag is #138

Too bad this one wasn't #'s 137 or 139. That would have been so cool.

I really like those old dog tags! My oldest is from the 1950's. I have a way to go to catch up!

WoW! That's an old one! And it still looks great! I think the oldest one I've found was a 1920.

I think a Dog Tax tag is just as good as a coin.
It can date the use of an area real good.

I know there is coins out there too.

Wonder if that dog is still around. Nice old tag. That 's one of the oldest I've seen
