Cellar hole produces Artillery button

Here's another find I was thinking most would like to see.This button I found at a cellar hole that I never hunted before.It was down 6" or so at a iron infested area 100' from the cellar.Went back to hunt the site again,and ran into a large black bear!Im going to head back there after the summer.Hopefully the bear won't be there.HH Tom

The bear was no more than 50 yards from me when I made eye contact.It was a surprise for sure!

Pretty sure it's a 1 pc .looks like from what the books are showing,it's around 1814-1823 ish for dating.

Look like this one except this one is a one piece button, yours looks to be a two piece.

What does the back look like?

The back is very worn,but I think you have the right one.Im just getting into buttons so this is new for me.

you may want to consider getting a bottle of pepper spray or bear repellant before heading back out there. or a handgun.
