In a part of town settled 400 years ago I come upon a path off the back of a parking lot. Behind the dog - Gizmo - is some kind of "natural" staircase. To the right is a "Pile" of something that looks sort of modern. To the right of THAT is - ? - ?????? What is it? What might I find there when I go back? Because I surely will!

I think clicking on the pic will enlarge it. Not sure.

The only thing I can positively ID is the dog. The thing with the verticle stones might be the base of an old corn crib, it might me a corner boundary marker or many other things. Tough to say with the quality of the pics. if there are stone walls in the area, it woould be worth checking out. Good luck.

Definitely looks interesting! What about old maps, local historical society, etc? Do you have any more pictures?? Are there any other ruins in that area?
