Found 2 points and (what I would call) a celt. The points are small about 1.5 inches long. The celt (?) is 6.5 inches long a 2.75 inches wide and 1.75 inches deep. The celt is shaped (pecked) at the bit end and brocken at the other end and has pecks on the body. Any ID on the celt(?) would be appreciated.

Lets see that bad mamma Jamma!! Your pics must not have loaded when you posted. Lets try again.

I'd say that is a Celt. It is defiantly a worked piece. The polish (I guess you'd call it a polish) looks like the finish on some of the pieces I find.

I'm not sure what my piece is. It's busted on one side. I think it was an adze or a spade of some sort. You have a nice piece. Congrats!!

Looks like a celt.. almost a shame the beating that was put on the bit.
Nice find.

kinda has that classic "pecking stone" look...hand held, smooth with rough, mashed up end from pecking away at something. Like this one sorta...

Nice celt find! The butt end was used like a hammer stone.

Nice celt find! The butt end was used like a hammer stone.

I've definitely seen alot of use damage on the poll ends.
I sometimes wondered if that may have been from using one celt to free another that was stuck in the tree or log.
